Startup advances to next round, will compete for share of USD 1 million
FiDoctor, a startup that links the health sector with the public, captured first prize at the national finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup competition held recently in Sana’a, Yemen.
Yasmeen Altoqi, Founder of FiDoctor, captured 1,000,000 YR and advances to the next round of the global competition against national winners from 200 countries.
” FiDoctor is a medical convenience platform that connects common people with the healthcare sector. It provides basic and primary health services through its platform therefore facilitating the journey between the patients with their medical practitioners as well as with the medical ecosystem.
In preparation for the EWC Global Finals, Yasmeen will participate in a Bootcamp which features virtual training and mentoring sessions targeted to their company’s current stage and growth trajectory.
FiDoctor emerged victorious from a pool of 1307 contestants who applied – each receiving access to free virtual training services and up to $25,000 in perks to help them take their venture to the next level.

” As a Global Finalist, FiDoctor will compete for a share of USD 1 million in cash prizes. The top 100 Global Finalists will receive $100,000 worth of in-kind services and support from service providers such as AWS, Freshworks, Oracle, Hubspot, Stripe and Segment.
Global finalists also gain automatic entry into the GEN Starters Club, an invitation-only community of talented founders from around the world.
Other finalists in the EWC Yemen National Finals included:
● ALFUQARA'A Tech Company from ALturbah, a startup that Build mobile applications that support the poor people/labors in Yemen.
● AlAnwar Company from Sana’a, a startup that It is a small wearable medical device that is worn on the patient’s chest in the form of a collar or a belt. It works to monitor the heart signal and performs an automatic electric shock when needed.
● CFF from Ibb, a startup that Washing, cleaning and packing fruits and vegetables.
● Green Shopping from Taiz, a startup that creating a company that is the first of its kind in the world that specializes in managing family food shopping according to their health needs, so that you plan, organize and deliver it to homes on an ongoing basis.
The EWC Yemen National Finals were organized by National Microfinance Foundation in partnership with Yemen Microfinance network and Rowad Foundation, and sponsored by Yemen Kuwait Bank and Yemen Commercial Bank.
Since launching in 2019, the competition has attracted 400,000 registrations from 200 countries and connected founders with over US$3M in cash prizes and another US$256M worth of perks and free support and services.
Global Finalists will face off against one another in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in March 2023.
